This decision changes the course for public education in SK. It not only states that teachers can bargain on class complexity, but it includes provisions for much needed supports for students and schools. Teachers, you did this! Be proud of the impact of your words and actions.

Tomorrow, I’ll be voting for public education. I’ve made my choice from reading platforms, listening to candidates, and determining who will support all children by: -improving public education funding -addressing class complexity -working to prevent classroom violence

Over the last 10 yrs, we have 15K more students and only 10 more teachers… Yes, we need capital investment for renovated or new schools. But, we need operating budget increases above enrolment and inflation rates for there to be a real investment in students and education.
Construction is well underway on the new K-12 school in Lanigan. A strong and growing economy allows us to invest in important infrastructure like this, as well as 19 other new/renovation school projects currently in progress across Saskatchewan.

Maybe @PremierScottMoe should also prohibit all MLAs from bringing cell phones into the legislative assembly so they get back to the basics & focus on governing @SKGov @randyweekes @globeandmail @CarlaBeckSK @leaderpost @SLangeneggerCBC @MMandryk
Let's get back to basics and make sure our classrooms are focused on learning.

How many ground breaking ceremonies are there going to be? Is there some sort of golden shovel quota in play here? x.com/premierscottmoe/status…

Minister of Health Paul Merriman joined Prince Albert MLAs to break ground on the beginning stages of the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital Project. Once completed, the hospital will include an up to 40% increase in beds, larger emergency department and enhanced medical imaging services, including a MRI that will serve Prince Albert and northern Saskatchewan for decades to come.

🚩Don't be fooled! The Teacher Support and Innovation Fund has supported only 40 projects. We have 13,500 teachers, so ~ 0.3% are being supported with this fund. These aren't the stats I would be celebrating.
The third round of funding for the Teacher Support and Innovation Fund has seen an additional 17 projects approved, totalling nearly $650,000. Ā  Our government’s commitment to provide these additional supports has been met with impressive and innovative project ideas from teachers across the province.

Teacher hunger games commence. Could you imagine a scenario where only a handful of farmers at a time were able to receive crop insurance? Teachers and schools having to apply to a lottery for supports is absolutely abhorrent.

Hard to understand how so many directors of education in Saskatchewan got to where they are without a basic understanding of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Also, it’s sad how quickly some forget where they came from. #IamSTF #WeareSTF @SaskTeachersFed
