While I'm not going to make a big "I'm leaving Twitter" announcement for this account, it's clear that a platform that welcomes back the creator of The Daily Stormer is not one where I personally feel comfortable regularly contributing and adding value.

Indeed. Something went very, very wrong.

It's a big internet, with many destinations. Time is short. There are all sorts of communities and platforms where people care more than Twitter's current leadership. If it's not simply about the likes, you can probably find a more fulfilling way to spend your time. Good luck!

I might post a "here's where you can find me" tweet from time to time, but that's probably going to be it. LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/patrickokeef… Mastodon: mastodon.social/@patrickokee… Instagram: instagram.com/patrickbokeefe TikTok: tiktok.com/@patrickbokeefe Podcast: communitysignal.com

If you thought the Twitter Files were bad, just wait until you learn that anyone could report a tweet and Twitter would consider taking it down!

Elon unsuspended ANDREW ANGLIN?! This is a momentous day for 2022 actual nazis, and I'm not exaggerating. The practical difference between Twitter and Gab is now insignificant. Reputable companies won't touch Anglin's The Daily Stormer, and they shouldn't touch Twitter.

I just can't get over this. Anglin is the type who should be a default ban on all platforms that have any ounce of care put into them. He's an easy ban, a ban that all reasonable folks generally agree on. A total no brainer. It's not courageous to ban him. It's obvious.

But Twitter is no longer a platform where the ultimate powers that be are applying a level of care or take that idea seriously. It's a lark for the world's richest man, and he doesn't care because the impact of his decisions will never touch him. Gross. Find other platforms.
