This is the first grassroots, novel Payjoin cut-through implementation using PDK that we've seen. Huge.
Bark-powered Cashu Mints Board directly from onchain to your @CashuBTC balance using any @payjoindevkit enabled wallet such as @BULLBITCOIN_ Private. Anonymous. Proof of Reserves. (Mainnet demo. Proof of concept only. Second is NOT operating any mints)

@M_Aliyu_Shehu works on improving privacy and reliability in Bitcoin transactions through the @payjoindevkit. His contributions include strengthening persistence, improving maintainability, and addressing protocol-level security issues such as session replay vulnerabilities. He has also improved time-handling accuracy to align with BIP‑77. Going forward, he will focus on expanding Payjoin adoption by integrating PDK into @bitcoindevkit CLI, implementing ASMAP-based relay and directory selection for better network privacy, and improving system reliability through enhanced fallback mechanisms and testing infrastructure.

Wallet fingerprints are subtle and can undo the hard work you do to preserve your privacy. Broke this down in my latest post.
How can wallet fingerprints be used to damage Payjoin privacy? @Arminsdev spent a week in a darkly lit room to study this class of attacks against real-world Payjoins.

This would be a massive boon for on-chain privacy. Making every lightning channel re-balance transaction a PayJoin transaction would begin to erode the efficacy of common input ownership heuristics used by chain surveillance companies.
Excited that PayJoin is working towards integrating into lightning opens & splices. Would be awesome if we got that! Wanted to clear up my earlier tweet about this (attached). It is something they're going to do. Lots of complex issues to solve to get there but lets go!

Is PayJoin brazenly taking credit for what splicing does?

Okay I spoke with Dan and this is something they're working towards. It appears they've written PayJoin into LDK for the onchain wallet, with the intention of eventually getting it integrated into channel opens & splices. That would be super exciting if they can get there 🚀

Payjoin Foundation receives 501(c)(3) status to fund bitcoin privacy The @payjoindevkit announced its designation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service, effective July 23, 2025. The designation allows the organization to accept tax-deductible charitable contributions to fund open-source privacy protocols. The foundation maintains a dedicated budget to recruit talent directly for deep technical work. This strategy bypasses the delays of external grant processes the organization termed “Bitcoin Grant Purgatory.” "Having an organized foundation with a dedicated budget enables us to recruit talent to solve specific problems rather than recommend an external org make a grant to each individual contributor," Payjoin lead maintainer @bitgould said in the foundation blog post.

It’s not every day that we post “good news” from the IRS. But today, the Payjoin Foundation has been recognized as a 501c3 – which means you can now make tax deductible donations to fund Bitcoin privacy. By @joakimbook👇
