Ryan Marth, Co-lead Counsel in the $5.5B #paymentcardsettlement recently spoke to our webinar attendees about “who isn't in the class.” “A class action is a lawsuit that one or more parties bring--not just for themselves, but instead an entire group of people that meet a certain definition. And, in this case, the definition is basically merchants that accepted Visa or Mastercard payment cards (credit, debit or both) from the beginning of 2004 through just the beginning of 2019.” So, if you accepted either or both cards between Jan. 1, 2004, and Jan. 25, 2019, you may be eligible to file a claim! Submit yours today to #claimyourshare at paymentcardsettlement.com.

During a recent #paymentcardsettlement webinar, Loree Kovach, Senior Vice President of Epiq, walked attendees through the claim registration process. “I’m going to show you how easy it is to file a claim without a claimant ID and control number. You will see that there’s an option here to provide your taxpayer ID. So, if you didn’t get that claim form in the mail, or you didn’t get the reminder postcard, it’s okay—you don’t need to call us and ask us to send another.” If you owned a business that accepted Visa and/or Mastercard between Jan. 1, 2004, and Jan. 25, 2019, you may be eligible to file a claim. Submit a claim by following Loree’s guidance here: paymentcardsettlement.com/en….

We recently held a webinar regarding the $5.5B Payment Card Settlement. During the webinar, Co-lead Counsel Xan Bernay addressed some concerns regarding third-party filing that have been brought to her attention: “Many of you may have received solicitations either by phone or mail—or maybe you’ve run across them on the internet—of companies offering to file your claim on your behalf... So, what I often tell people before signing up with a third-party claim filing service—what you may want to do is go online and create an account.” To learn more, create an account and file a claim at paymentcardsettlement.com.
