A welcome update from @PeterboroughCC on access via the front entrance of city's town hall, which has been denied to #disabled peopleš§āš¦½ for over a year.
A new lift is scheduled to be installed this August. @peterboroughtel
Apologies for the late response - the faulty lift at the front of the Town Hall is scheduled to be removed in June, and the new lift is scheduled to be installed in August. The rear lift is still working.

For many #disabled people in #Peterborough St George's #Hydrotherapy #Pool was their only means of being active, keeping healthy, and if required, losing weight.
If the health of residents is going to be improved, it's important that a hydrotherapy service is restored.

The external changing places facility at the Car Haven toilets is out of use due to a water test failure. We are working to get the situation resolved as quickly as possible, however, this could last several days.
The internal men's, women's and accessible manned toilets are still operating.

Residents are invited to explore plans and designs for a new leisure development at a public event taking place at Sand Martin House on Tuesday 19 May, from 10am to 7pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view images and floor plans of the proposed facility and learn more about the different features planned for the development. These include an eight-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, a 20m activity pool, a cafƩ, family play area, health and wellbeing rooms, and a 150-station fitness suite.
A planning application for the development is expected to be submitted in July. If approved, construction work is likely to begin in early 2027, with the new facility anticipated to be completed in 2028.
