#CovidEnquiry Recommendation on better data collection, sharing in advance, commissioning of research. Great not easy with GDPR, slow ethics approval, lack of surveillance funding. @BPSU led on CYP COVID monitoring now needs funds and support. 🙆

📢📢📢 TO ALL THE POLITICAL PARTIES... We need a serious conversation about environmental crime in Britain. Our country is being desecrated and hugely polluted. Tough action, NOT WORDS is required. On-the-spot fines should be increased from £1,000 to £10,000.

Sorry, no photo but I saw a young male roe deer today in downtown Leeds (Cross Green, 100 yards from dual carriageway A63). Was surprised to see one in such a built up area. Urban corridors? @YorksWildlife @BradfordNature @WoodlandTrust

with @rarediseaseday tomorrow it's disappointing to see @BPSUtweet struggling. Just two studies running now. Common @RCPCHtweets members. If you don't use and support the system it will fail. The once jewel in the RCPCH crown needs reinforcement.

Start them young. @BradfordNature @leedsbirder @wns_nats #peregrines
More of the team on a windy Saturday morning. It is important that we continue the work we started with Joy, to keep these lads interested in the peregrines living on the iconic Lister Mill chimney.

Very compelling webinar about serious issues around nitrous oxide misuse. I was particularly struck by the young people, too “high” to dive for cover during a drive by shooting. Scary. And remember that your friendly local litter pickers can often pinpoint areas of high usage.
This is a webinar that I did last week for HCPs on #NitrousOxide across Birmingham….starts at 5 mins (If bored of me (understandable!) watch Clair Graham talk from 28minutes….COMPLETELY jaw dropping! lunch and learn for healthcare staff youtu.be/0sPtjw71V4Y?si=Kh72… via @YouTube

I travelled to Jaranwala (Pakistan) with @IslamicReliefUK & @AndyBowerman to provide aid & support to Christian communities who faced persecution. Standing up to hatred can be a lonely struggle. I wanted these communities to know that they are not alone & we are with them.

Plenty of important medical research going on @UniofBradford @PRCBradford @BTHFT @SaralayaD @docjohnwright Better transport links needed. @LeeAndersonMP_
Laughter at Conservative conference when Lee Anderson is asked about cancelling HS2 and the impact it will have on local services, such as those to Bradford and replies: "Anyone here from Bradford? Would you want to get there quicker?" #CPC23
