In a struggle, it is always critical to have clarity. Clarity of vision and clarity of purpose to be able to see the field and what you are up against with as much detail as possible. Part of the danger and angst of my health struggle has been not knowing what I'm exactly up against. What has been known is that I have an unspecified blood clotting disorder that oncologists could not figure out, and that my triglycerides were excessively high. Both of these put me in danger, particularly the blood clotting. But, my doctors thought for many years that the blood thinners and statin medicines that they had me on were containing these threats. And for nearly 14 years, this appeared to be the case. Now as a result of the latest near fatal experiences, we’ve had to do some deeper exploration as to the source of my health challenges. Getting past the insurance companies to start addressing my needs has been a challenge unto itself, and a very expensive one. But, what has recently been uncovered from engaging in some genetic sequence testing is that I have a genetic disposition for Lipoprotein(a). Which is a cholesterol carrying protein, and a nasty one. Apparently, this is one of the reasons why I get dangerous blood clots, why plaque builds up in my arteries so rapidly, and why plaque buildup in my LAD have apparently ruptured on two major occasions. So, this is a major discovery. And while it might not be the best news, it’s a relief to finally have some answers. This doesn’t mean it’s the final answer, but provides a clear path to be explored that can lead to a more solid plan of treatment to keep me in the struggle hopefully for some decades to come. And if you're wondering why after 15 years of living with heart disease why I am just now getting this diagnosis, it’s because the insurance companies have blocked me from getting this level of testing. Sit with that. Now reflect on how the ultra reactionaries, neo-confederates and fascists are limiting health care for millions of people living in this empire. Thousands and perhaps millions of people who could be saved in the next few years will die as a result of their intentional viciousness. So, we got a serious collective fight on our hands y’all. I invite everyone to join me in doubling down on not just fighting it, but winning it. And as always, I want to thank everyone for your support. Please keep it coming, as this is just beginning. And stay tuned for more updates! In Unity and Struggle!

Anyone here a fan of Red Vienna? I've got a HUGE collection of historic images from the socialist city (sammlung.wienmuseum.at/en/se…) and a giant collection of 280 translated texts from the period (jstor.org/stable/j.ctvfrxrtp). Enjoy ;)
