Derby Weekend @KentuckyDerby . Flashback when we filmed with @BobBaffert. Great experience, the energy was insane. We were the only crew cleared to film with him behind the scenes. We had to set our cameras down just for the Derby race itself. However, Bob then yells at me ā€œhey Cowboy you are walking with us, get over hereā€. Walking the track then the explosion from the crowd was amazing. Major highlight. Bob had a great team. They love their horses. Glad to see him back at the Derby. Would not count him out.

This fan with down syndrome waited for Erik Lira who hugged the fan, posed for a photo, and even gave him his jersey. A beautiful moment for Erik and a moment this fan will remember for the rest of his life šŸ„¹āš½ļø

Just heard Paramount green lit another Top Gun. Reflecting back, the last one is going to be hard to beat. One of the best and most challenging projects I have worked on. Great Crew. Scouting some of the the air to air combat scenes involved traveling 120 miles out to no mans land and then hike up to 8K to 12K feet up a mountain sitting there with camera and radio waiting for the pilots to let me know if they are coming by. Exhausting but rewarding. Cool thing was to do things that will probably never be replicated. I have done 3 movies with Mr. Cruise, I can tell you this, the camera will not roll if that script is not perfect.

As we are moving forward with Animal Movers, our goal is to help with the rescue of certain animals that are trapped in war torn countries. Had a zoom call to Beirut with a group that is trying to save some lion cubs. Jason with Animals Lebanon is keeping this cub in his apartment away from the bombing. Andy Blue who is with us already got 3 cubs out before the bombing started. There are some really good people out there.

What once started as a documentary on some surfer dudes who shipped animals, grew into the series ā€œAnimals Moversā€ that aired in 28 countries. The show evolved from transporting peoples pets, to full on rescue/impact stories and we were even on CNN. It has been some years since it first aired, but we are in the process of rebooting the show back up in the near future. Introducing some new characters and looking to do more impactful animal/human stories.

A great guy…
Chuck Norris held a 183-10-2 record and was a 6x world champion in full contact bare knuckle karate. On top of that, he beat heavyweight kickboxing world champion Joe Lewis 3 consecutive times and also had a brutal sparring match with undefeated kickboxing world champion, Bill Superfoot Wallace, that lasted an hour and a half. According to Wallace, they practically stalemated and "beat the crap out of each other". Chuck was trained in kickboxing/boxing by Benny The Jet Urquidez and was also trained in BJJ by the Gracies and Machados for 20 years. Even being able to submit Carlos Machado himself on occasion. Chuck had a 315 Ibs bench press at 180 lbs bodyweight and was said to have a grip back in the day that nobody could escape from because he was so strong. Even Jean Claude Van Damme said he'd never fight Chuck Norris, despite being a kickboxing world champion himself. Chuck held a 10th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo. Rest in peace, Chuck!

This is Marcus, and his accidental service dog, Gunner. Marcus served 3 deployments to Afghanistan. For years, he’s woken up at 3am, drenched in sweat, convinced he’s in back in Kandahar. Gunner came to the family when his owner passed away, which was a neighbor of Marcus. On the first night they had him, Marcus had a nightmare, and Gunner immediately jumped on his chest, and laid on him. For the first time in years, Marcus didn’t thrash, and was able to just breath, despite almost 80lbs of weight on him. Gunner laid on him for 2hrs that night. Marcus’s wife had urged him to get help for years. She was able to catch it on recording, to show to his counselor. The counselor told them what Gunner was doing was called ā€œPressure Therapyā€ā€¦which is what PTSD service dogs are trained to do. Gunner never had training. He just had instincts, and an instant bond. The term, ā€œMan’s best friendā€ doesn’t cut it sometimes.

When we are at our best. Ghandi ā€œThe greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treatedā€
One of man’s duties on Earth….to look after God’s creations. That Land Cruiser did an amazing job. Toyota should add "can help pull an elephant from a sink hole" in their adds.šŸ˜‚ The elephant is so exhausted. So happy you could get him out. ā¤ļø

Notable comments from Montana's Bobby Hacuk, as he steps down as head coach. *"Dealing with what college football has become is not always enjoyable as a head coach. I just haven't been enjoying it enough. I want to enjoy my career and my job." *"Dealing with agents and the transient nature of this and the lack of forward thinking by young people.." *"But as college football has changed over the last couple of years, I've started to embrace my shelf life ending at some point. I've had more days where I didn't enjoy coming to work very recently." espn.com/college-football/st…
