In Uganda, many girls face period poverty due to limited access to sanitary pads. Peace Corps Health Volunteers teach communities to make RUMPS (Reusable Menstrual Pads) — washable, low-cost pads made from local materials that help keep girls in school and reduce stigma.
📚 Since 2022, Peace Corps Uganda Volunteers and partners have donated 6,334 books, trained 368 students and community members in library management, and helped create engaging learning spaces. Building a reading culture—one library at a time! #Literacy#PeaceCorpsUganda
