I'm stunned at the number of posts I've seen here today criticising parents for refusing to vaccinate their children. I mean, what? Let me break it down for you.
Big Pharma companies - all of them - have been fined tens of billions of dollars over the past few decades for a wide range of violations including, are you ready?
- hiding and manipulating clinical research that showed their drugs were dangerous
- False marketing and misbranding (promoting drugs for unapproved uses)
- Kickbacks to doctors
- Failure to disclose side effects (that's a good one)
- Price fixing and anti-competitive behaviour
- Fraud in billing government programs
Right?
Remember, Pharma has a long and storied history of conducting drug trials in low and middle income countries. These trials have sometimes involved ethical breaches, lack of informed consent, exploitation of vulnerable populations, and double standards in safety and oversight.
In short, they paid pennies to some of the poorest people in the world to take their poison. When it went wrong, they bribed politicians. Cheap but not very cheerful.
Remember Pandemrix the Swine Flu jab? Yes, that one, the one that caused narcolepsy in many recipients. Well, GSK initially refused to share full clinical trial data and post-marketing surveillance findings with independent researchers or governments.
In 2011, The BMJ reported that internal data from GSK suggested early concerns about narcolepsy risks, but this wasn't disclosed to the public. Nobody went to jail.
And then. And then. We have the covid jabs. Millions injured, who knows how many dead, right?
Mums all over the UK are having second thoughts about vaccinating their children and they're called out for bad parenting? Really?
Are you fucking kidding me?
