I grew up not far from Greensboro and Winston-Salem (where Germany is training). My buddy sent me a picture of his family at the German training the other night. The thought of these teams being located in those cities is just wild to me. It just feels impossible. So cool!

🇸🇮 Well didn’t expect that news today. 26 yo Anton Vidmar will not be continuing with new Coach Armin Auchentaller’s Slovenian squad as he has announced his retirement. He just had his most consistent season with 8 top 30’s in 18 races as he finished 46th Overall #biathlon

Just felt my first earthquake. Or more accurately felt the effects of one that actually occurred off the tip of Cuba. Bizarre feeling because here it was so light it would have been easy to miss. But unsettling. I never need to feel that again!

🇫🇷 Looks like a fall for Emilien Jacquelin in early May. Easy bone to break! He's already back on a stationary bike and he'll make his pro cycling debut later this Summer. Simon Fourcade quoted and sounds optimistic. Should be full go for biathlon #biathlon

🇨🇦 Canadian coaching news: after Helene Jorgensen shared head coaching duties with Andrew Chisholm last season she has decided to move on. No word on her next adventure yet but we’ll be excited about it. Andrew Chisholm will be the man in charge in Canada now #biathlon

🇺🇸 Mike Gibson has been with US Biahtlon since 2024. He has been managing the National Development Group so he is well familiar with this group of women. 25-26 was a very big season so very excited to see how this group of women takes the next few steps! #biathlon

🇺🇸 Emil Bormetti has been a member of the US staff since 2022. He was a logical choice to continue the progress made in recent seasons. While the mean will lose a several key members of the team there is plenty of intriguing talent ready to join Campbell and Maxime #biathlon
