ALT I was given the opportunity to attend college through a scholarship, but life wasn't easy. I woke up before the sun rose to clean 40 classrooms just to make ends meet. Despite the discrimination and hardships I faced, I refused to let it defeat me. I graduated with a degree. The moment that changed everything for me was my first gender affirmation procedure. It was a milestone that brought me immense joy, but also reminded me of all the battles I had fought because of my identity. Yet, after a long journey, I’m on the path of feeling comfortable in my own skin and surrounded by love and acceptance. I am now ready to start a new chapter, where I can put the past behind me and focus on building a better future. My heart is filled with hope as I strive towards a better job and a life filled with happiness.
