A great visit indeed. Some of us (me 😊) were even more interested in the trip due to possible family connection between Justus Perthes - 🇩🇪 publisher and Charles Perthées - 🇫🇷/🇵🇱 geographer. Both born in 🇩🇪 in the half of the 18th c. The @perthees project at @ih_pan likes it.

Dziś prezentujemy jedną z ciekawostek, na jaką natrafiliśmy przy pracy ze szkicami. Jest to fragment minisłownika angielsko-francuski, stworzonego prawdopodobnie przez samego Karola Perthéesa. Mini, bowiem obejmuje tylko jedną stronę rękopisu. W lewej kolumnie widnieją wpisy w

j. francuskim, a w prawej angielskim. Ponieważ słowa oznaczają różne przedmioty (młotek, piła, dłuto, świder, szczypce, linijka dwustopowa, śrubki i inne), dopisane po prawej cyfry dotyczą liczb tychże. Czym była ta lista? Dlaczego spisaną ją w dwóch językach? Badania trwają!

Trzeba przyznać, że ciekawie patrzy się na fragmenty map województw @perthees'a dla tych samych obszarów. Obie mapy dzieli kilka lat, materiał źródłowy był najpewniej taki sam, a mapy opracowała ta sama osoba.
Z cyklu "znajdź 10 różnic" w #piątek #piąteczek :)

Complete #HistoricalAtlasOfPoland by historians and geographers @ih_pan has recently been published! All 8 volumes are put together in the joint edition with maps and GIS repository. It all started in 1880 (!) and finished now🥳🎂🥂🎉. More info here: tinyurl.com/yc87h4ws
