Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN GA has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace. @pespoc is celebrating with you 2021 Theme: Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world

Glad to see published our first paper on road traffic accidents in #Somaliland. The traffic accidents remain the unknown silent killer of Somaliland citizens.

3/3: Positive peace involves the elimination of the root causes of war, violence, and injustice and the conscious attempt to build a society that reflects these commitments. Positive peace assumes an interconnectedness of all life. N/peace is defined as a peace without justice.
1/1: @slnhrc2 reported quarterly #SGBV report in the last 2 yrs (2020 &2021). Although the report mainly focus rape felony, the statistics of rape cases in January-June of that years uncovers 2 critical things need to study or to have policy attention:

2/2: 1. 44% of Perpetrators of rape were juvenile why? 2. 63% of the survivors were under 18 years why? Although 56% of the perpetrators were adults, but the worrying is the number of juvenile accused for the felony. #SGBV endangers Human Security and well being of Society.
