Love daggy and also quality 60-70s music. The science of sport is interesting but the art of sport is what captivates.

Rick Brunson only gets animated when Jalen Brunson is involved in something. I guess it works but the optics look ordinary to me.

NBA: Yeah those pushes in the back are dangerous when a player is in the air or about to jump. AFL: Nah, he hardly touched the leading forward. He took a dive. 🙄

Right, so pretty much everyone who watches AFL knows that Kossie Pickett is the greatest ducker since Ginnivan. So will we now have a review of the high contact interpretation & a memo sent out. Actually just copy the memo from 4 years ago. It’s still relevant but umps “forgot”.

Could not agree more. Experiential knowledge beating rookie errors at the moment. Having said that, the most experienced Spur is making the dumbest mistakes. Ahh, love how sport works.
Through four games, I can confidently say two things: First, the Spurs are technically a better basketball team by a small margin. Second, the Spurs are the dumber team by an astronomical margin.

Is that Danger FK for high contact? Even though he tried to duck under the tackle? And from the OOZ ump? Just awful. #AFLCatsSuns

Cameron FK as soft as you could see. If there was high contact or even a slight arm chop, he’d well and truly dropped the mark well before contact happened. Let’s call it technically correct, shall we ? #AFLCatsSuns

Holding the ball against Martin?? WTF, there was no tackle. Certainly not a tackle that stuck? Just awful. #AFLCatsSuns

Yeah, shows how stupid the unintended consequence of this rule is. 🤮 Two things, stand rule should not apply to set shots. It was never introduced for these. And stop the game clock for all set shots.
Greg Swann: player needs to kick over player on the mark otherwise play on will be called. Arthur Jones.. Doesn’t matter in this case, but 1 Nick Watson non-goal exposes everything else associated with this rule.

Currently watching the greatest choke I’ve ever seen in sport. Train wreck!!

Make each quarter 18 (or thereabouts) minutes and then stop the clock for every set shot at goal. This whole problem then goes away.
"If this is not a legitimate shot at goal, this should be a free kick from the back of the square." After Harry McKay's time-wasting late, James Hird believes the AFL needs to bring in a rule to prevent it from happening again. #9FootyClassified | Watch on 9 & 9Now 🖥️

Fair enough. He received a free kick & no one from the opposition remonstrated in any way. Regardless, 3 wks. As I’ve said, I no longer understand AFL. There are many sports I don’t get & I tend not to watch them. This w/end I was down to 2 games watched entirely. Used to be 5-6.

Outmarking Gawn one on one. Geez, you’d take that. #AFLPiesDees

Look at that. Sidebottom held his ground and didn’t attempt to mark. Correctly no FK. #AFLDogsPies @hasumpstuffedup

This time it’s Gawn holding his ground while not contesting the mark and, correctly, no FK for the block.

They didn’t exactly come from everywhere to get around the kid with his first goal. Hird might be able to fix that. #AFLDonsBlues

Easy decision, correct decision. Not HTB, play on. No prior and genuine attempt. #AFLEaglesPower

Q3 3:40. Watching Georgiades being told to stand in the PZ is hilarious. Or was it someone else being told to stand? No one will ever know. Just stupid. 🤮

Don’t Port have a white kit? Why wouldn’t they wear it? #AFLEaglesPower

It might be a mark but it was a push out first IMO. I no longer get it.
