I pray the Beatles Biopics will not fall into the trend of half the movie being recreated performances
Big opportunity for stories that weren’t televised or filmed. I don’t need to see the actors perfectly recreating Ed Sullivan, I’d rather see the events leading up to that day

When a biopic tries to shoot a legendary performance they’re always going to look worse on side by side compared to the original. It’s better to try to create scenes we haven’t seen before, for example the Hamburg club shows in Backbeat, or Midas Man’s EMI audition (Besame Mucho)

calling it right now, there’s gonna be articles coming out after the beatles biopics release talking about how the original version of the scripts were much more dramatic and detailed but had to be cut due to the studios wanting more time for extended recreated performances
