I work for an industrial air compressor company as a mechanic and tech guy. Formerly a software engineer and manager for some companies you've heard of.
If you're looking for solid geocoding solutions look no further than @Geocodio. 'nuf said - (not legal advice) you can use the data a lot easier than alternatives like Google. (If you know, you know)
My latest way I'm finding Solo to be brilliant: 2 hours 30 minutes left on my daily, but 9 hours left on my weekly... I don't want to stay up all night... no worries, @aarondfrancis has a solve for that... just set a timer to bang on Claude when my quota is clear.
This evening Fable did a great job writing an integration for Quickbooks. One slight issue... the spec was for Quickbooks Desktop but it reasoned that it'd be better for the app to be for Quickbooks Web... so it made that integration. Fine code. Wrong platform.
2025: Building AI into the tools I make
2026: Exposing the data in tools to AI
I'm finding the latter much more powerful - now I can have my Claude or ChatGPT/Codex have my tools' data and work across other data without me building it all into my app.
I'm also finding that sometimes Claude or ChatGPT is a nicer interface. Instead of loading up audiobrevity.com I can just tell Claude to add the latest episode from @MostlyTechPod to my feed and it does it...
Based on Fable 5's ability to ever-engineer things, I'd be really nervous to send it on for a day of coding without me holding its hand. I think for now it's going to be used on occasion called by either Opus 4.8 or GPT-5.5 when either model need help...
introducing laravel moat
as an open source maintainer, recent supply chain attacks in the ecosystem made me want a simple cli to audit the security of my GitHub organizations and repositories
built in Rust. for any open source project on GitHub
I've noticed how often Codex or Claude will say "we write this once and you keep it forever". What it doesn't seem to get is that often that is just one more thing to maintain. Not having something is better than having it but it breaks later.
.@trq212 Claude Code keeps asking me how it’s doing the same time it’s asking me for which of X options to choose in my main conversation - so I end up saying 1 (or one of the options) - then it takes that as feedback “bad” vs “choose option 1 of the prompt”. Sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Calling all alternative energy scientists: we discovered empty bags of chocolate chips and marshmallows on the kitchen floor. Our 6 and 4 year old kids admitted to being hungry overnight.
The energy in this house is off the charts. I think we might be discovering something new.
"you're competing with another agent...so do better" - I'm kinda linking this prompt - using Solo's MCP makes it even easier.
