Back to state and ready to defend the title we fought so hard for. Last year’s win was special, but this team is hungry to prove we belong there again. The work, the sacrifices, the early mornings, and the battles on the field all led us back to this moment. Softball is a game of failure. You’re going to strike out, make an error, give up a homerun. Just like in life, we are going to sin. It’s unavoidable. On the field, failure humbles you. At the cross, sin humbles you. But here’s the difference: In softball, you still have to live with your stats. In Christ, your sin was fully paid for. Jesus took every failure, every sin, every moment we fell short, and carried it to the cross. He did what we never could- lived perfectly. The enemy wants athletes to believe: “You messed up, so you’re worthless.” Jesus says: “You messed up, and I still chose you.” Softball gives you another at-bat after failure. The Gospel gives you another chance after sin. Not because you earned it. Because grace is bigger than your worst inning.
