At #pcf11bw, we are honoured to spotlight Dr. Daniel Tau, one of Botswana’s most distinguished education leaders and pioneers of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Africa 🌍 . As the inaugural Chief Executive of Botswana College of Distance and Open Learning ( BOCODOL) and later the founding Vice Chancellor of Botswana Open University, Dr. Tau has spent decades expanding access to education, strengthening institutions, and shaping ODL policy across the Commonwealth. Under his leadership, BOCODOL was recognized with the Commonwealth of Learning Award of Excellence, and Botswana Open University grew into a globally respected institution. Dr. Tau’s impact extends beyond Botswana: from advancing ODL systems in Mozambique, Sierra Leone, and Malawi, to chairing the Virtual University of Small States of the Commonwealth, his vision has consistently empowered learners and built resilient education systems 🇧🇼 🇲🇿 🇲🇼. At PCF11, his keynote will reflect on how strong institutions and inclusive innovation can transform open education into a driver of resilience and sustainable development. #pcf11bw #openlearning #COL4D

In all their interviews, webinars & protests for years, SAMRO has claimed to be the 'protector of creators' & bashed the Copyright Bill claiming it 'will destroy the creative industry & affect poor creators'! It's their corruption and failure to pay creators that are to blame.
