“give yourself a lot of shots to get lucky” is even better advice than it appears on the surface. luck isn’t an independent variable but increases super-linearly with more surface area—you meet more people, make more connections between new ideas, learn patterns, etc.

Yesterday marked the first day of the 2023 Concordia Amazonas Summit, a gathering of leaders and decision-makers in Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest for a four-day retreat focused on finding market-led solutions to protect the rainforest. Participants started the four-day retreat with a visit to a Butterfly Farm. Whilst blossoming new connections and exploring the Amazon, participants had the opportunity to learn about species conservation in the most ecologically diverse and important biosphere on the planet. #Concordia23
