Bureaucracy and incentives haven't vanished. OpenAI is cautionary tale; they tried to come after every startup and spread too thin and lost focus.
I said this I forgot to who but I said it BigTech will eventually come for all apps / startups / companies because they can fill the niches now that before could not because they were too small Those niches is where entrepeneurs hung out, nice parts of the market people could build a little SaaS with $100K/y to even $100M/y, notjing like the $100B/y revenue BigTech was doing, but worth it With AI now BigTech can fill those niches they are the ones training and owning the best models, and keeping the best models for themselves they can outcompete anyone who doesn't own them (everyone except other BigTech) End game for their survival is simply trying to take every business, it's just capitalism This completely changes the prospect for entrepreneurs as there won't be much left, because BigTech is financially incentivized to have to take everything Because if they don't, their competitor will! x.com/marmaduke091/status/20…

This is true in california. Renting > Buying

Don't let anyone peer pressure you into buying a house with the midwit argument "renting is throwing away money" which in 99% of cases is BS Generally renting SAVES you money over buying if you will own the house for less than 15 years New York Times made a famous buy vs. rent calculator that got updated recently nytimes.com/2024/05/13/brief… The same applies to most markets worldwide The only valid argument for buying a house for most people is if you can use leverage (a mortgage) to buy it, but you will pay about the same of amount of the house price in interest payments to a bank for 30 years Big golden handcuffs that'll keep you tied down forever while you fund rich bankers

Mark Zuckerberg explains the winning DNA of Meta. Even when people thought Facebook is gonna get obsolete with the rise of apps like Snapchat, Twitter & Instagram etc. Meta still stands as one of the most powerful companies in the world. Mark says Meta was never a social app or a social network, it's a technology company focused on Human Connections. Unlike other companies they've never limited themselves to a narrow point from the beginning. Meta's Technical foundation is so strong that it could venture into any domain & create major impact. Meta's ability to solve any problem also comes from Mark's engineering origin - he studied System Engg & this impacted the whole company's problem solving mindset. Also Mark noticed this in SV & made sure Meta didn't do this mistake - Not all companies who call themselves a Tech company is truly a technology company. As their management team & Board had Less engineers & even the CEO sometimes aren'y technical , they can't be considered a tech company, Meta has more engg in their Management & Board.

Here's my 8.5 hour conversation with @elonmusk & @neuralink team. It is the longest podcast I've ever done! 🤯 It's a fascinating, super technical, and wide-ranging conversation. It's here on X & everywhere else, including YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=Kbk9BiPh… On X, it's split up into 3 parts (in replies to this post) due to the current 4 hour limit for video. I continue to push the X engineering team to increase the limit... up it to 10 hours let's go! 🤣 Thank you to Elon Musk, DJ Seo, Matthew MacDougall, and Bliss Chapman who are part of the amazing Neuralink team: @elonmusk, @djseo_, @matthewmacdoug4, and @chapman_bliss. And thank you to Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad) who is the first human to have a Neuralink device implanted in his brain.
