Overall, this work shows that physical interactions are critical for initiating the fanning response in honey bees. We are still working on what exactly they are doing when they are interacting, but we are excited about where this work will take us!

You don't often see the wings of a Devil's Coach Horse, but I think this one must have blundered into a spider's web. See how it puts its wings away, folding them into the tiny space under the elytra by doing some serious abdominal writhing.
