We’ve been a bit quiet lately, however, a lot has been going on behind the scenes as we’ve taken time to focus on restructuring, visioning & lasting impact. That said, we’re excited to share some news: Philly We Rise is going to become a part of @215Alliance!

Additionally, 215PA is a multi-neighborhood and multiracial collaborative. Most recently they've worked on campaigns for paid sick leave, ending mass incarceration & reimagining community safety. All of this makes 215PA feel like a natural home for our work.

The police who killed her must be held accountable and the ridiculous murder charges brought by @da_delco against two Black youth -which are just there to deflect blame away from the police- must be dropped.

I stand with @SenSharifStreet in calling for solutions that address the root causes of violence.
Decades of disinvestment, an unlivable minimum wage, the housing crisis & defunded public schools got us here. To address violence, we must rebuild our community from the ground up.
