OBE (Old Boy of Ely) Ex SEN teacher, broadcaster, rugby commentator, speaker, host, best selling author “Nerves of Steele.” Proud President @taffswellrfc
Lovely to be back at Hove, a quintessential English county cricket ground.
Glammy well and truly in the trenches today - so looking forward to us being 370-0 at the close. 😉🏏🌼
I hope I get to see a defensive display from @GlamCricket tomorrow as good as that displayed by the the staff member at Southampton Station when I just asked them if they could explain why my train to Brighton was delayed. 😉🏏🌼

Another excellent 25 Club black tie dinner evening in celebration of SRC Champions @llandoveryrfc in the company of the multi talented compere/speaker/singer @philsteele1 🎶🏉🏴👏👏👏
Lovely to be in the company of this man tonight - legendary @llandoveryrfc President Handel Davies.
At The Drovers ‘25 Club’ Dinner.
Anyone know the collective noun for a pair of Presidents?
Gutted about this - up there with Martyn Crowe as the Black Caps’ greatest ever batsmen.
Was hoping to see him one final time in the third test at TB in a couple of weeks, but sadly now not to be.
Congratulations on a wonderful career - pure class on and off the field. 🇳🇿🏏
Lovely to bump into this man tonight - as a fellow ‘Good Catholic Boy’ ( him St Joseph’s, me St Francis’s) a hero if mine when I was a ball boy for @Cardiff_RFC in the 70’s.
Former Cardiff and @evrfc winger Neil Collins
🏉
Thanks to Chairman Andrew Pugh, Secretary Chris Evans and all who attended @LambsRfc 150th Anniversary Dinner for the lovely welcome tonight.
Special congratulations to club stalwarts Gwynne Williams and Len Hurle on their WRU ‘Services to Welsh Rugby’ awards.

Very sorry to hear of the death of ex Ireland Lions flanker Ferguson Slattery.
A tearaway open side of the old school who was especially brilliant on the invincible Lions tour of SA in 74.
Had the privilege of working with him on several occasions - a top guy.

Always remember the great David Gower being interviewed by Brian Johnston on the BBC circa 1992.
He was asked, “are the words ‘laid and back’ the two most annoying words referring to you?”
Gower’s lovely reply:
“Not at all. Those two words would be ‘caught Dujon!’” 🏏
Happy Birthday Jeff Dujon
It was one of cricket’s great sights in the 1980s: a fearsome West Indian fast bowler forcing an edge, and behind the stumps, Jeff Dujon flying through the air to complete another stunning one-handed catch.
The acrobatic heartbeat of the dominant West Indies side, Dujon never lost a Test series, claimed 270 dismissals.
He was equally elegant with the bat, scoring five Test centuries - including a brilliant 139 against Australia at Perth in 1984-85 after his team had slumped to 186 for 6.
Most rugby fans would know Arthur as a former captain of @evrfc , his country, a Grand Slam winner and Lions tourist in 1971.
However, he was an also magnificent servant of his beloved @CrumlinRugby for so many years.
A Welsh rugby legend steeped in his own community.
RIP 🙏
In Loving Memory of Arthur Lewis
An unsung hero who will be deeply missed
The funeral service will take place on
Friday 19th June
St Paul’s Church – 12:30pm
followed by Sirhowy Crematorium – 1:30pm
After the service, family and friends are warmly invited to join us at Crumlin RFC
Fabulous holiday reading this:
Taking me back to my teenage years when thanks to live tv, unsung county cricketers like Stuart Turner, Nigel Briers, Colin Dredge, Colin Tunnicliffe, David Turner, Alan Ormrod et al could enjoy time in the limelight.
Highly recommended 🏏
