Today is a national holiday. While we celebrate this momentus day and recognize the milestones we have achieved, this day is also a reminder of the many milestones we're still missing. Happy Juneteenth! Stay vigilant!
Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the death of George Floyd. His death in 2020, as well as the murder of Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, re-ignited a national flame about Black Lives. (1/3)

For the rest of the summer, streets across America were filled with individuals protesting for change. Some awareness and action has been made in tearing down systemic racism but we’ve still got a long way to go to make a more equitable society. (2/3)

Mae C. Jemison is the first Black female astronaut. Before her trip in space, she could have been a professional dancer. Instead, she decided to become a doctor, working at a refugee camp in Cambodia, and serving in the Peace Corps in Liberia.  (5/6)
