Happy Wednesday everyone! Or should we say, Happy Hump Day! 🐫 This is a wooden, hand carved camel toy. The animal has one hump, is hand painted a grey colour, and is slightly chipped.

Today is #InternationalWomensDay! This photo was taken at the PMV back in the late 1900s by photographer Celia Klemenz. We would also like to share two women who owned some of the houses at the PMV: Sarah Redman (Redman House) and Elizabeth Woodruff (Brougham Hotel). #IWD2023

The use of quilt codes to assist freedom seekers along the #UGRR is a disputed topic, but symbolic ties to African designs suggest it can't be ruled out... Intrigued? Book us into your classroom for this Gr. 6-8 program. 🔗 pickering.ca/pmveducation #BlackHistoryMonth #Educators
