I've been enjoying the daily pokecryptic.com. I like watching @crypticcracking solve cryptic crosswords but I'm hopeless whenever I try one myself. The constraint of being Pokémon themed makes these much more tractable. I haven't used them but the hints are nice, too.

The domain verification stuff is cool. I wish more people would do it. I ended up just searching up all the people I follow on Twitter and I have the gut feeling that some significant percentage of them were impersonators (one confirmed so far).

Anyway, I tried the "ChatGPT Plays Pokémon" thing with Claude 3.5 Sonnet:

tl;dr, it did about as well as GPT-4 (read: not very well) but it got frustrated at being stuck and gave up lol

I also tried with Claude Haiku (and experimented with only letting it press one button at a time):

tl;dr: It literally only pressed A. It also got confused by the clock and figured the entire game was about "temporal anomalies"
