C'est la différence entre récolter des pommes et découper le pommier. Erreur 2 : "ça résout énormément de problèmes dans le monde". Cette expérience a déjà été tentée, en vrai. En 2021, le directeur du Programme Alimentaire Mondial de l'ONU a affirmé que 6 milliards de Musk pouvaient "résoudre la faim dans le monde". Réponse d'Elon : décrivez-moi exactement comment, comptabilité publique à l'appui, et je vends mes actions Tesla immédiatement. Le PAM a publié son plan. Verdict : ce n'était pas "résoudre la faim", c'était nourrir 42 millions de personnes pendant un an. Un an. Puis il faut re-payer, pour toujours. Pas par la charité ni par l'aide internationale (plus de 1 000 milliards versés à l'Afrique en 60 ans pour un résultat à peu près nul). Par l'ouverture des marchés, l'industrialisation, le commerce. La Chine seule a sorti 800 millions de personnes de la pauvreté en abandonnant le collectivisme, pas en taxant ses entrepreneurs. Donc fais le calcul complet. Option A : tu confisques 500 milliards, tu finances quelques années de programmes, l'argent est consommé, et tu as détruit la machine qui produisait les fusées, les voitures électriques et l'internet des zones rurales. Option B : tu laisses le meilleur allocateur de capital de sa génération réinvestir 100% de sa fortune dans des industries qui baissent les coûts pour tout le monde et emploient des centaines de milliers de personnes. L'option A soulage ta morale pendant 18 mois. L'option B sort des populations entières de la pauvreté pour toujours. La pauvreté ne se redistribue pas. Elle se résout par la création. C'est contre-intuitif, c'est frustrant, mais c'est ce que disent 200 ans de données.

Back-to-Back Maritime Live Fire, a Perfect Score: How the @anduriltech Altius-600M Is Performing in Taiwan Taiwan's first batch of Anduril Altius-600M loitering munitions, acquired under the "Hunter Owl" program, arrived in August 2025, and all 291 units were delivered by March 2026. Over the past six months the drone has moved into live-fire verification, and the results of three separate tests are now public. The Altius-600M weighs just 12.25 kg, yet it carries a 444 km range and roughly four hours of loiter time. It can switch between a reconnaissance platform and an anti-armor strike weapon, which is why Taiwan treats it as a key counter-landing capability. The first test, in February 2026 at the Army Artillery Testing and Evaluation Center, drew criticism. United Daily News reported that "three of five crashed," while defense journalist Hsu Yu-wei corrected the figure to "eight rounds were fired, and three missed their targets due to technical issues." Legislator Huang Kuo-chang questioned the procurement, and the Army responded that the reports were inaccurate and that maintenance and training were running normally. The two sea-target tests in June shifted the narrative, with results far stronger than February. On June 3, during the "Tianma" exercise in Yilan, the Altius-600M struck a maritime target for the first time with a 100% hit rate. On June 11 and 12, at Jianan Beach in Taichung, the Army fired from a Humvee-towed launcher and scored 12 hits out of 12 across two days. Most of the earlier doubts actually came from abroad. Reuters reported in late 2025 that two Altius drones crashed during US Air Force flight testing, and the Wall Street Journal noted the type had been pulled from use in Ukraine after underperforming. Taiwan's verification data and those foreign cases do not cancel each other out; they reflect how the same weapon behaves under different operators and different tactics. Anduril founder @PalmerLuckey addressed these doubts head-on in an exclusive TVBS interview in early June. He said the complaints refer to problems Altius had years ago when it was first deployed in Ukraine, and that what sets his team apart is that they stayed in Ukraine and fixed them. If those problems still existed, he argued, Ukraine would not keep buying the drones or asking for more, and the US Army would not be doubling down on its investment. In a separate CNA interview on the same trip, he pointed to the 100% hit rate in Yilan as evidence. For Taiwan, the Altius-600M fills a gap it has long lacked, a low-cost, mobile loitering munition that can strike landing fleets beyond line of sight. The second half of the year already has night-time moving-fire drills and a 160 km maximum-range autonomous strike on the schedule. During the process, officers and soldiers inspected the Altius-600M loitering munitions, installed the drones into the launch tubes, and tested the connectivity between the firing tablets and the aircraft. Additionally, operators pressurized the launch tubes, utilizing 2,700 psi of pneumatic pressure to enhance the equipment's propulsion force. Subsequently, upon the issuance of the firing command, the drones exited the tubes and flew toward the target area. Personnel used firing tablets to conduct searches and utilized flight control systems to calculate attack angles. Once the flight attitude was fully adjusted, the drones dove downward, achieving precision impacts on the targets. This demonstrated superb flight control skills and concretely strengthened asymmetric warfare capabilities.

TESLA FSD — Current Progress in Taiwan June 10 Meeting Confirmation: FSD Level 2 Can Proceed to Review Without Legislative Amendment In a written reply dated June 8, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) stated that, based on Tesla's own declarations and the determination of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Tesla's FSD system remains a Level 2 driver-assistance system rather than a Level 3 automated driving system, and the driver therefore still bears responsibility for operating the vehicle. The June 10 meeting further confirmed that the FSD V13 and V14 series can enter the review and verification process under the existing "Supplementary Operating Provisions for Application for Review Reports on New-Technology Driving Systems," without any need for legislative amendment. The MOTC also explained that these supplementary provisions were modeled on the new-technology review mechanism under Article 39 of EU 2018/858. Applicants must submit a declaration of suitability for domestic road conditions along with a safety-verification test report. After review and approval by a technical review committee composed of the competent authority, professional institutions, and expert scholars, the matter is then submitted to the MOTC for final approval. Review Timeline After Tesla's Submission Tesla Taiwan consulted the Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC) about the application process on April 28, 2026. The MOTC also instructed the VSCC to send Tesla Taiwan an official letter on May 15 requesting that it submit a formal application as soon as possible in accordance with the regulations. As of the June 10 meeting, the status was that the application process is underway but has not yet been formally filed. The subsequent procedures confirmed at the meeting are as follows: after the formal submission, the VSCC will convene a technical committee within 2 to 4 weeks to review the application documents and the road-testing plan; MOTC approval is expected to be completed within 2 weeks thereafter; road testing will then begin, after which the technical committee will conduct a review based on the test results, and finally the matter will be submitted to the MOTC to obtain certification. Legislator @dAAAb Ju-chun (葛如鈞) requested that the MOTC complete cross-ministry and cross-agency coordination in advance, to ensure that the administrative time cost of the testing process is kept to an absolute minimum.
