Designers are underutilized in most companies.
They should hold equal status to PMs and influence strategy and decisions. Designers are incredible at designing processes and how we work to achieve outcomes, yet they often receive predetermined solutions. Inefficient "process."

We've been playing with a concept for a while in the UX team and have just finished our first pass at an atomic design services model. It's lean, flexible and consistent. Much work to do in codifying practice, but was fun to model this far. AMA (if you fancy).

Hey kids. If you're a designer and struggling with literally anything, don't listen to people on here or any other social platform. Go get some mentoring at places like ADPList.org or designed.org, just avoid the bro' design rubbish on here. It's hogwash!

When buying our most recent vehicle, no sat nav system or anything other than it being carplay compatible mattered when it came to the display.
In-car UI and UX is just so wildly awful and real wild west of design and engineering! How are we here?!

The biggest design question that I have today, is how exactly humanity deals with car infotainment systems.
No matter how refined and expensive the car is, we get the slowest unresponsive not logical, not readable and unsafe interfaces.
And trying to fix it with CarPlay.
