A couple years ago someone printed some sample kinopio logo stickers for me. If that was you *please DM me* – I can't find the convo anymore, or remember what social network you were on
WIP on user @mentions , I can type '@' to select a collaborator or group member. The card atMention data saving to the server is also wired up now. This system supports multiple @mentions per card.
It's looking like the days of tech VCs making 20 moonshot bets/investments with the statistical confidence that 1 of them will 200x in value are ending. Maybe those days are long dead already.
The Kinopio sticker saga continues: so i checked out a local sticker printer (SleepyG Stickers) this morning and got a good impression. I also took some pictures of their print shop
Just responded to a bunch of new message DMs I didn't know I'd received. PSA: You're never notified of these. When you open the chat page, new messages aren't visible here.
You have to click the little 'inbox' icon at the top. Unlike how all email or chat UI works.
Just received 100 sticker-sheets from the printer (Death By Stickers), and close up the line edges are super soft. Hard to photograph but Especially bleed is noticeable in the outlines of the white logo and 'kinopio' and 'club' text.
I emailed the sticker company, I dunno if it's them, or maybe the nature of vinyl stickers? I don't really need it to be vinyl tho, I think that was the default option.
Also in the next run, I'm making some layout updates including a bigger margin , which meant squeezing things in and adapting some stickers. but gonna look at other printer services too, so lmk if you have suggestions
Tim Hortons has nearly 4,000 locations in Canada. The coffee is not the reason. 🇨🇦
The loyalty has nothing to do with the coffee.
It never did.
Tim Hortons is not a coffee shop. It is a national coping mechanism.
Complete Tasks Across All Your Spaces [New]
Work through the [] checkbox cards and boxes scattered across all your spaces. Kinopio's speed really comes in handy when jumping between todos in different spaces.
You can also mark every task in a space complete at once.
I've got something really cool to announce tomorrow. All the little edge cases (and a morning CDN emergency) made it take a whole day longer than I thought it would, but I'm using it now and the extra effort was worth it d(-_^)
I used this same key icon to represent secrets (env and api keys) in both Glitch and Kinopio. But I originally drew it as the logo of a personal diary web app that I designed, but didn't have the dev skills to build at the time. Unearthed these mockups in a @sketch file created in 2014.
The funny thing is that an app like this would be trivially easy to build with AI today, but without the panache of an even amateurish human-made design, it would not be worth remembering 10 years later.
what do you think of this alternate design for animated lines? it's a lot simpler/conventional and i think is more readable than the current animation of a circle travelling along the path
