The downed helicopter in California is a real mystery. Don't military aircraft carry communications equipment? Don't passengers of downed aircraft stay put so they can be located? WHAT is going on there?

Wars and climate disasters! What a mess humanity is in! A root cause is POPULATION. More people need more resources, and they are running out, so we fight for them. Right now, we have business lobbyists running around Dubai saying we need more "development."

THE TALIBAN have reportedly done a major about face and started a campaign to eradicate POLIO in Afghanistan. This is a wonderful development for that country and the world as a whole.

Wow! Did you see the NY Times report that the Israeli Government KNEW IN ADVANCE Hamas was planning an attack_ If true, and Israel did not try to prevent it, they have sacrificed 1200 citizens for a justification to destroy Hamas. Imagine the arguments involved in that decision.

How does a musical conductor stay on top of dozens of voices and dozens of instruments. STEVEN CZARKOWSKI did it yesterday in the Landon School. Together, they presented a wonderful version of Handel's Messiah.

Gaithersburg might have set a record yesterday for the number of people gathered by the Pavilion at City Hall. Efforts to promote the JINGLE JUBULEE were highly successful. It included a tree lighting, Santa Claus, entertainment, free hot chocolate, and more.

Can you believe it? 112 Republicans in Congress voted AGAINST expelling George Santos. His words and acts are so egregious that those 112 members should be expelled also.

FIDDLER on the ROOF, at the Olney Theatre, through Dec. 31st. Last night, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone is a star of the show, including the musicians. The lady who plays the fiddler showed first-class ballet moves.

Excellent meeting last night of the Gaithersburg Creative WRITERS Group, and we loved the food at Dogfish Head Ale House. The rain did not keep ANYONE away.
