SAS patron, Prince Charles, is to give the opening speech at #ClimateActionWeek later today focusing on the need for "swift and immediate action, at an unprecedented pace and scale" or "miss the window of opportunity to 'reset' for a more sustainable and inclusive future."
We’re proud to introduce the newest GGGI member, Enaleia!
Enaleia works to build sustainable marine ecosystems by educating Greek fishers on how to reduce lost gear & overfishing; and empowers them to tackle #oceanplastic in their communities.

Our hard working street cleaning team removed a staggering 11 tonnes of waste from our beach on Thursday.
It's heartbreaking to think so many people who love to use our beach don't care how filthy they leave it.
They should be ashamed.

📅Two years ago the council signed up to a single use plastic pledge.
🗑️Yet our beaches are still strewn with litter.

The paddlefish’s extinction should serve as a wake-up call to protect other freshwater species. #TuesdayMotivationnationalgeographic.co.uk/ani…
#MondayMotivation Public consciousness of ocean-wrecking plastic pollution was steadily increasing, but when the voice of nature - Sir David Attenborough - highlighted its devastating impacts in #BluePlanetII awareness soared.
Congrats Sir David - #PlasticFreeAwards winner. 👏
ALT Attenborough in front of the ocean with quote: We hoped that Blue Planet II
would open people’s eyes
to the damage that we are
doing to our oceans and
the creatures that live in
them. I never imagined
there would be quite so
many of you who would
be inspired to want
change.
#MondayMotivation RT to celebrate the amazing people removing plastic pollution from our beaches, rivers & everywhere! 🙌💙🌊
