A plastic bottle in the landfill is wasted. A bottle in the recycling system can find new life as another bottle, a jacket, a cardigan, or even in your new car.
@NAPCOR_PET’s Laura Stewart explains how new technologies are helping recycle more plastics on the latest Sustainably Speaking.

Cars are becoming safer, smarter, and more efficient. Now it's time to ensure the materials that make them possible stay in use longer.
We support policies that strengthen automotive plastics recycling, expand the use of recycled materials, and create a stronger supply chain for our cars and trucks. 🚗♻️

“Recycling is not just an environmental story. It's an economic story, too.”
In a fireside with @JuliusKrein, @eisenberg_ross of @plasticmakers says that recycling 50% of plastics headed to landfills could support 173,000 jobs and nearly $49 billion in economic activity.
That's roughly the size of the entire U.S. milk industry, created from materials we're currently throwing away.
Recycling 👏 is 👏 real 👏
Yes, the system needs improvement. But Laura Stewart (@NAPCOR_PET) busts the myth that recycling “doesn’t work” on the latest Sustainably Speaking.
