The new Sky Patterns album 'Night Call' is out now.
An album that reaches deep into nocturnal territory — a world of half-spoken fears, flickering thoughts, and the uneasy sense of life seen through dim light
Extremely limited CD available from:

I'm performing at Midsummer Middlewich Festival next weekend on Saturday June 20th.
You can find me at The Kings Lock - at the Outdoor/Acoustic Stage at 3:30pm, where I'll be playing tracks from both albums plus a selection of new material.
I look forward to seeing some of you.

FYFE DANGERFIELD
As gigs go, this was about as intimate as they come. Fyfe performed an impromptu extra gig in a coffee shop with a whole range of songs not played at last night's gig. No microphone, no P.A, just his wonderful voice, piano & acoustic.

FYFE DANGERFIELD (GUILLEMOTS)
Performing a charity fundraiser at The Granary Arts Café, Nantwich, it's probably the first time I've seen Fyfe in a while, having first seen him at The Scala in King's Cross around the time of Guillemots' debut album.
*Weaveworld Release Day*
This collection of songs were ripe for release in 1991 but the UK music scene had gone in a baggy direction
Written with our mate John Lever, they have been woken from their cryogenic state.

JENICA CLYDE
A wonderful evening at The Peer Hat in Manchester in the company of the German artist Jenica Clyde performing songs from her debut album.
In case any Chameleons fans have missed this post, Weaveworld finally release their album (written by Andy Clegg, Andy Whitaker, Graham Atkinson & John Lever in 1990 & 1991).
I saw Weaveworld a couple of times back then and they were fantastic - these songs are sounding fab!

EYRE LLEW
Just stepped onto the stage at @Gulliversmcr is the wonderful Eyre Llew. A Welsh-sounding name with a widescreen atmospheric Icelandic sound from a band hailing from Nottingham. Really excited for this one.
It was absolutely wonderful to be included on Brother Voodoo's Playlist Obscura radio show last night.
You can hear '(We're Lost) Forever More' around halfway through. Aron's reaction to the song is priceless 👌
A big thank you to Aron (Brutha Voodoo) for including Sky Patterns on his radio show last night.
There's a wonderful eclectic mix of music, and it's great to be sitting alongside Neneh Cherry, The Joy Thieves, and Glass Dolls.

TOM SMITH (EDITORS)
Earlier this evening at Stoller Hall in Manchester, Tom played a magical set including loads of songs from his solo album plus deconstructed acoustic versions of Editors tracks. A two hour set. If you're seeing him, you're in for a massive treat.

PURESSENCE
Following their stunning Albert Hall gig a couple of years ago, they're finally back and performing live in Manchester at Academy 1. Lots of superb songs in tonight's set, plus visuals of Gene Hackman and Hitchcock's The Birds.
Released OTD 1992, it's one of my Top Three albums of all-time - 'Need For Not' by Levitation.
"Without hope
And without fire within
The scar will turn
And suck you in
Don't question everything"

THE GREAT UNWASHED
I saw these guys the other evening, they're a Manchester band, the music is somewhere between post-rock (The Workhouse and Mogwai spring to mind), shoegaze (Slowdive, Lush) and alternative (Radiohead). It's excellent!

MIKI BERENYI 3
A couple of shots from earlier this evening at Yes in Manchester. A really enjoyable gig with a good number of Lush songs in the set too. Ireland, you're in for a real treat.
Miki was manning the merch stall when I arrived, so take stuff for signing.
