The Trump administration, from day one, has viewed the basic promise of DUE PROCESS embodied in our Constitution as an obstacle to be crushed, and not a principle to be upheld. If they could tear up the Constitution to carry out mass deportations, they would do it instantly.

Great reporting by the WSJ. I gifted this so you can read it. "Of the 279 people accused by officials on X of attacking federal officers in the past year, 181 were U.S. citizens. Close to half of those Americans were never charged with assault. None have been convicted at trial." wsj.com/us-news/immigration-…

New: The Trump administration has spent more than $30 million to send migrants to far-flung countries that are not their own, including, in a few instances, paying over $1 million a person, per a new report. W/ @jmhansler @kylieatwood: cnn.com/2026/02/13/politics/…

ICE's own guidance says @TriciaOhio is wrong! The Supreme Court has NEVER ruled that an administrative warrant can be used to break into a home. That's because administrative warrants don't require any independent oversight; they're signed by low-level ICE officers themselves.
They have an Administrative warrant. Administrative warrants have been used for decades and recognized by the Supreme Court and lower courts. In every case that DHS uses an Administrative warrant to enter a residence, an illegal alien has already had their full due process and a final order of removal by a federal immigration judge. The officer also has probable cause.

What impact are the US boat strikes having—besides killing >124 people? - October-December 2024: 7,764 pounds of cocaine seized at the US-Mexico border. - Oct-Dec 2025: 10,593 pounds of cocaine seized. Cocaine is up 34% *despite* the boat strikes. Data: bit.ly/4bJOeFs

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth.

Been thinking quite a lot this week about one of the very first cases I tracked of ICE detaining a U.S. citizen A year ago, ICE agents detained a 20 YO they said swerved his car at them But local Utah police checked security footage. And it wasn’t true ksltv.com/local-news/unified…

Judge Howell's decision begins by clarifying a piece of constant misinformation coming out of the Trump admin: "[V]iewing all immigrants potentially subject to removal as criminals is, as a legal matter, plain wrong."
🚨Immigration officers have no legal authority to arrest immigrants without determining that the person is "likely to escape" before an administrative warrant can be obtained. Yet agents routinely violate that rule. Now a federal judge just blocked that practice in DC.

If it did not happen in my own cases, I would not have believed it. We are living in dangerous times, folks! In less than a week, ICE violated two TROs not to remove my clients out of the jurisdiction of the courts -- in two different and unrelated cases!!! One was taken to AZ to remove him to MX without a notice of Third Country Removal and despite knowing that a claim of fear was asserted but not addressed. Yesterday, they brought him back, but he is still held in punitive civil detention. My other client -- who has a stay of removal in effect in addition to a TRO -- was forcibly removed to Mexico. She is back now but still in detention. DHS is at war not only with immigrants but with the law!
