For membership sites: caching has to be smart. Logged-in and logged-out views can't be the same cached page.

Update your site. Check the front end. Still the old version.
The fix isn't clearing everything everywhere. That defeats caching entirely.
What you want: targeted cache invalidation. Flush only the pages that changed. Leave the rest.
