Your membership site is more than a paywall. It's the foundation for something people actually want to belong to.
Join me (and Sam!) live on June 4th for our next Open Office Hours session:
Building Community Around Your Membership
We'll cover:
β How to choose the right community platform for your membership
β What makes members actually show up and participate
β How to turn passive subscribers into an engaged group
β The tools that make it manageable (without burning you out)
No registration required.
A membership site without community is just a content library with a lock on it.
What actually makes members stay isn't only content, it's connection. Join me and Sam on June 4th at 11am ET for Open Office Hours: Building Community Around Your Membership: pmproplugin.com/live
Thinking about moving your membership site to PMPro? This session was made for you.
May 28th at 11am ET. Live walk through of everything involved in migrating from another platform to PMPro, without losing your member data or disrupting your community.

No caching: every visitor = server builds the page from scratch.
With caching: built once, served to everyone as a copy.
More traffic handled. Speed up. Load down.
For membership sites: caching has to be smart. Logged-in and logged-out views can't be the same cached page.
Descript edits video like a text document.
Highlight what you want to cut. Hit backspace. Add captions and music in the same tool.
Best starting point for talking-head video editing if you're just getting started.
Generic WordPress hosting is built for generic WordPress sites. It doesn't know about your members, your protected content, or your checkout flow.
PMPro hosting does. Right defaults out of the box. No configuration required.
Your whole environment becomes membership-aware.

ALT Memberlite 7.1 release graphic in landscape format. Dark teal panel on the left shows the white Memberlite icon and wordmark, a "Theme Update" badge, a large "7.1" version number, the tagline "Design your header & footer in the block editor.", and the attribution "A theme by Paid Memberships Pro." Right side shows a browser-framed screenshot of a membership site front-end with a green "Edit Header" tooltip floating over the header area.
We benchmark Google PageSpeed scores before and after every site migrates to PMPro hosting.
Typical result: 10β15% improvement right out of the gate. Sometimes 20%.
Before any tuning. Most sites were just on the wrong host.
Got a question you've been sitting on? May 14th is your chance to ask it.
We're hosting a fully open Ask Me Anything with the PMPro team: no agenda, no slides, no pre-planned topics. Just you, your questions, and two people who know membership sites inside and out.
Test your Reels two ways before posting:
1. Mute it: is it still interesting?
2. Audio only: is it still engaging?
Most viewers are watching on mute. But the ones with sound on need to be hooked too.
Build for both.
Update your site. Check the front end. Still the old version.
The fix isn't clearing everything everywhere. That defeats caching entirely.
What you want: targeted cache invalidation. Flush only the pages that changed. Leave the rest.
