Enten: "Canada is far more popular than Donald Trump is here in the United States. The net popularity of Canada is 49. Trump is -10. We're talking about Canada coming out nearly 60 points ahead on the net popularity ratings versus Donald Trump here in the US"

youtu.be/ZgJMnHC-V54?si=UDna… No matter what happens, Canadians are thanking their lucky stars that @PierrePoilievre is not Prime Minister of this country at this crucial time, and he never will be.

‘Restore the North’ tour(To what?) sounds like ‘Make …….. Great Again,’ aka MAGA- in honour of Charlie Kirk, hmm-combine that with @PierrePoilievre ‘s ‘lock Trudeau up’ -attacking the RCMP - our Official Opposition now just the ‘Trump North’ party. cbc.ca/news/politics/jivani-…

If I were @PierrePoilievre I’d read this carefully. He knows it’s accurate. Pushing narratives on a vital issue that vast chunks of his own party aren’t buying nor the vast majority of Canadians, exposes him as an amateur, a bumper sticker once again. bruce728.substack.com/p/cana…

Pierre Poilievre appears to define handling Trump as taking him on aggressively. The American and global landscape is littered with casualties of that approach. The reason I believe Carney is best equipped to handle US-Canada trade (and other) relations is that he understands the mix of economics, finance, business, trade, and diplomacy that task requires. He seeks common ground agreement, rather than pouring gasoline on a fire. This situation does not call for Poilievre's pugilism, far from it.

Trumpian nonsense for an American audience. Trump pledged to ‘break Canada economically,’ demanded we become the 51st state, said ‘Canada isn’t a real country.’ He attacked our PM endlessly - all of it out of the blue. Now we are the threat to trade?? globalnews.ca/news/11335614/…

Pierre Poilievre's pressing issue isn't Ukraine, Trump tariffs, wildfires and their consequences _ it is Carney's investments. As if Carney is in an impossible job to enrich himself. PP is incorrigibly trivial.

US style polarization in Canada? Maybe not. So far, Mark Carney has drawn optimism across the spectrum as many Canadians want to pick solutions, not sides, @bruceanderson writes. bruce728.substack.com/p/us-s… Find out more at nationalnewswatch.com

Absolutely!
NYT says one Chinese U offering unconditional admission to any student who transfers from Harvard. We need to do the same. Harvard attracts the smartest kids in the world. Forget Trump. Leave the US behind. Come to Canada and help us become an innovation superpower. Oh, and send us your profs too! #UofT #mcgillu #UBC #Concordia #delhousie

Curious, Mr. Mulroney seems to be making statements one might expect from the Leader of a party- the Opposition Leader perhaps? Curious indeed….. @PierrePoilievre #howsafeisPP?
🇨🇦 cannot wait until Q4 to see a budget. We’ve been down that road before. Quite recently actually. A federal budget provides important signals to businesses, both here in 🇨🇦 and abroad, to global markets and to investors. We can’t be in limbo anymore. We were told that this government was different. But how can it be different without a fiscal plan or a budget? Historically, many governments that have been elected in a new year (in Q1) have put forward a budget in short order. Why can’t we now? A budget will show how this government plans to manage the economy, deal with debt, and grow the economy. We are in dire need of visibility into all of these things. Without a budget, there’s uncertainty, which will hurt investor confidence. Once a beacon of stability for investors, we are no longer viewed with the same level of confidence. Does 🇨🇦 now only releases budgets only when we feel like it? We need to attract more investment. How can we do this without a fiscal or economic plan? Throughout the campaign, we were promised a tonne of things: from tax cuts to building houses off the country’s balance sheet. A budget is where those promises are quantified. Canadians have every reason to expect our government to show us how it will deliver.

So imagine this. Diotte steps down so Pee Pee can run for his seat. The Liberals bring in their own superstar candidate to oppose him and then new MP and cabinet minister is.....
