I'm trying to rent a new apartment in July, do I know anyone in SF getting rid of an apartment then, or maybe 1 or 2 months after that?

when im teaching someone something, my instinct is to make things as friendly and approachable as possible. when i'm learning something, I feel unstable if I can't find the ground, and when something's too friendly it feels like a lie

I think AI will eventually be able to make these kind of leaps too but it's a good example of what is probably kind of hard (and hard to measure) for present day AI
Lawvere is the reason why I'm optimistic about the future. Yes, AI solves hard problems in seconds, but noticing that quantifiers ∀ ∃ are adjunctions? Noticing that a metric space is essentially a category? Seeing two things as the same isn't quite a replicable ability.

it's possible that the tenderloin is actually fine. like yes it's a bit scary but how likely are bad things to happen to you there relative to somewhere like hayes? we might be missing out on some good restaurants. out of fear? what kind of life is that?

This really does happen a lot. people will mysteriously bring up something I *just* saw on twitter but say their friend did it, they thought of it, someone told them about it. and honestly I have done this. did anyone ever do this with the newspaper?
at the hangout waiting for my turn to pass off something i read on twitter as my own idea
