👮♂️LAPD killed this lady's dog on a noise complaint call. The dog's name was Jameson, a golden doodle.
The dog was no threat, but he barked at strangers.
The family and the dog was celebrating the New York Knicks victory. A neighbor called in a noise complaint and the LAPD showed up and shot the dog when it barked at the officers.
Police treat killing dogs like it's routine business and no big deal. That needs to change, it needs to become a big deal. I think every time an officer shoots a dog it should be investigated and scrutinized just like when a person is shot.
It seems police escalate to lethal force FIRST when dealing with a dog they perceive as aggressive. It seems they never use pepper spray first, just straight to deadly force. That needs to change.
This is not okay.

No domestic animal should be outdoors in this heat and if a crackhead is the reason the dog is outside then the animal needs to be confiscated and given to someone that lives indoors and doesnt smoke crack. Why isnt this a law?

Now, we’re demanding a federal investigation because local officials refuse to act to save dogs on LA’s Skid Row 🐶🐾
@KFIAM640 just covered @Adv_Law_Animals federal complaint to the @FBI, @TheJusticeDept, and other agencies about Skid Row animal abuse, illegal breeding, and the dog fighting pipeline.

33 dogs were rescued from a U-Haul truck and SUV in Murrieta, California last month, after officers responding to a trespassing call found the animals confined in overcrowded, poorly ventilated conditions.
Officials said the dogs had matted fur and limited access to food and water. The suspect faces 21 felony animal cruelty charges.

I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!

We fought to save the dogs on Skid Row. Too many people shrugged so now this will continue for years. This puppy we saw today will most likely be dead by Friday.
