In our recent @NBCNews polling, Democrats are now far more likely to say they sympathize with the Palestinians instead of the Israelis, with 67% of Dems being more sympathetic to the Palestinians, compared to just 17% who say the Israelis. Additionally, two-thirds of Dems have a negative view of Israel, up from 35% in just 2023. Speaking on the topic, Partner Bill McInturff (@pollsterguy) said, "this is unrecognizable in terms of where America was, and the Democratic Party was, for a 20-, 30-year history." He also noted that this will have implications on the 2028 Democratic primary, saying that it is "going to be fought on very, very different terrain in regards to the issue of Israel." In the latest NBC News Poll we find that America today is dispirited and angry. 59% of Americans agree that the economic political systems in the country are stacked against people like me. This ties a record high on this measure (April 1992).

You can’t have powerful trend without having thought to ask the baseline question years earlier! Good work here and an important result.

Had not used up my 3 time allotment this year to retweet something that made me laugh. :)
boyfriend is back in his small hometown for the holidays. called to say his dad is going to the ER, but it’s okay because my boyfriend knows the attending—in high school, he had a crush on the doctor’s daughter. I’ve seen enough Hallmark movies. I’m getting on a plane.

In a remarkable shift, a majority of Americans now say a college degree is not worth the cost. This shift is driven by Republicans, but even half of Democrats now say a four-year degree is not worth the cost. @NBCNews #College #Degree Check out the data below👇

With the government re-opening today, here is some important historical context. Yes, Democrats have seen an improvement on the generic ballot DURING previous shutdowns. But, once the shutdown is over, the generic ballot has historically bounced back to where it was PRIOR to the shutdown. Check out the data below👇

One reason the Mamdani win in New York City is not a huge surprise? Nationally, Democrats now give capitalism a net negative rating for the first time in our tracking (25% favorable/45% unfavorable). That is a net 38 point drop from 2018. Check out the data below👇 #Mamdani #Capitalism

Here is a simple interest in the election scale I have been using since 1993. When you see a number for the first time in 32 years, it’s a big deal! See below

We could see very high turnout in key races tonight. 66% of voters in the latest @NBCNews poll say they are “very interested” in the election NEXT November. That is the highest ever in the off-year before a midterm election. Stunningly, the 66% number is higher than what we measured just a few weeks before the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 midterm elections. #Election Check out the data below 👇

History does not repeat, but it does rhyme. Six years after AOC toppled one giant of New York politics, Zohran Mamdani is poised to do the same. Notably, Mamdani’s national image at this point in his political career is almost exactly the same as AOC’s image nationally at the outset of her career in politics. Only in New York can a 34 year old political candidate from the fringe of their party garner national name ID in the 70% range. #NYC #AOC #Mamdani #Election Check out the comparison data below 👇

The latest NBC News poll finds that fewer than 30% of voters have a positive view of the Democratic party. The GOP holds strong advantages over Democrats on border security, immigration broadly, and dealing with crime. 42% of voters blame Democrats in Congress for the shutdown, compared to 25% for Republicans, and 24% for President Trump. Additionally, a record high 79% of voters say they use social media daily. Check out the topline data below👇 pos.org/wp-content/uploads/2…

Very important and comprehensive look from partner Nicole McCleskey (@NMcCleskeyNM) on how the abortion issue played in 2024 compared to 2022, the impact of abortion ballot measures, and the success of GOP candidates to navigate the abortion landscape. (pos.org/wp-content/uploads/2…).

Here is another profound example of the way in which our two political parties are changing. After decades of strong support for Israel among Democrats, in the last two years, Democrats have totally flipped with a majority now siding more with the Palestinians.

Republicans continue to be strong supporters of Israel, while Democrats now side with the Palestinians.
