Michigan is supposed to be a state where Blue Collar Workers can take care of their families — plus extra for vacations, hobbies, etc. Under the current governor, we have not seen this version of our state for a very long time. Who else wants to bring it back?

This is a truly remarkable day in film history, thanks to Stephen Spielberg. - On June 12, 1981: Raiders of the Lost Ark premieres. - On June 12, 1993: Jurassic Park premieres. Two non-debatable classics — the former of which gave the world one of my all time favorite scenes.

Michigan has been the king of auto manufacturing for decades. And so today, in a world with so many new forms of transportation, MI has a BIG talent and infrastructure advantage over the rest of the nation. That’s an opportunity. I say we embrace it. If it moves people or products; let’s make it in Michigan!

One of the reasons a deal remains out of reach is our governor’s current plan. She wants us to approve $400 million in spending from Michigan’s “rainy day fund,” which is typically reserved for extreme situations. However, House Republicans feel it is crucial we keep those savings secure.

Michigan’s energy needs are sky-shattering right now — and we need reliable, clean baseload power to ensure our grid is secure and affordable. The historic restart of the Palisades plant proves nuclear energy is a vital piece of our state’s economic future. However, we can't let lawsuits and legal red tape stall our infrastructure’s progress.

“Never have so many, owed so much, to so few.” Normandy was THE moment of WWII and arguably the most important turning point in modern world history. Veterans have said this scene is the best ever put on screen. But, in reality, there was “even more blood” and the smells were reportedly unbearable. Today, don’t just remember the bravery and sacrifice of these young men — remember their horror as well. Lest we risk repeating it.

These threats happen — but I never worry much. Because I know we’ve got Jon. Chief Priebe and his team secure us all every single day. It would be unwise for any adversary to test their skill. They deserve a lot more credit!

Hey @GovWhitmer Is there a reason you posted the groundbreaking ceremony on the left but not the one on the right? Why did you want people to know about this event and not the other? I wonder what it could be…

IMAGINE: What if you could take the gold rush that happened in California and EXPORT it out to ANY OTHER state in the union? You could instantly bring a fantastic amount of jobs, money and growth to your state. However, you would also inherit the logistical and environmental challenges of a boom as well. THIS is how data centers are being pitched to us in positions of state leadership — as a modular “gold-rush-in-a-box” that any state with land to spare (sell) and resources to share (sell) would be foolish to reject. Our governor seems ready to throw Michigan’s doors open. She wants that gold rush here. What do you think?

In Michigan, only 37% of fourth graders can read at grade level. Our governor’s solution to this crisis is to recruit another faceless “council.” BUT REMEMBER: Politicians like her use groups like this to make/reward friends — not to meaningfully progress complex issues. This isn’t to help students. It’s to help her and her party.

Forcing a premature shutdown at the J.H. Campbell Coal Plant would have put this entire region’s energy supply in jeopardy. Ensuring that consistent, affordable power reaches homes and businesses alike must be a priority zero focus for leaders across the country.

When Michigan entrusted its House of Representatives to a Republican majority we promised you two things: - A smaller state budget - Serious tax cuts I’m beyond proud today to say we’ve finally achieved both.

I was honored to spend time with some of the student-leaders from MSU: “Rep. Posthumus emphasized that inside the Capitol, Republicans and Democrats get along and work together closer than it appears from the outside” ‘We all want to make our communities safer. How we get there is the difference,’ he said.”

I agree: There must be an investigation. And I agree: It must be done by officials outside of MI. Governor Whitmer has placed too many friends in high places here for a fair shake.

I stand by this. Planned Parenthood is lobbying the Michigan state government for $5 million to keep select clinics open as federal dollars dry up. If they agreed to cease abortion operations — I would be open to consideration.

Michigan Planned Parenthood is lobbying the governor for a “one time” $5 million cash infusion to prevent closures. Their federal funds are drying up. This will be an extremely significant point of negotiation in both chambers. Some of us here would rather eat our seat than use it to “rescue” abortion clinics.

The Michigan State Senate is jeopardizing our state’s future. By backing the governor’s obsession with wind and solar energy, they are leading us down a very dark path (perhaps literally). Wind and solar alone won’t be enough for an affordable, reliable grid in MI into the next decade and beyond. This mandate MUST be replaced with an “All of The Above” approach to energy that allows for coal, natural gas and nuclear power as well.

Waste, fraud and abuse have been hallmarks of this Michigan governor’s administration from the beginning. There have been many “smoking guns” — but this one is starting to look more like a volcano.
