A day I’ll never forget. I was presenting the Breakfast Show that day as we got the first reports of this crash. @ppsquire was one of the first on the scene and we reported through the morning. I’ve been to the site to pay my respects & today I’m thinking of those who died 😢

On this day, 20th August 1977, the single greatest shot in television history was filmed. James Burke had one chance to film this perfectly timed launch of Voyager 2 at Cape Canaveral. If he missed, there would have been no chance to re shoot it.
