i decree that from today, nobody will use the phrase "watch it as a movie, don't bring your politics into it." please, bring your politics into everything because #they are doing it anyway. watch & review everything from a politically-aware lens because that's what we need rn.

man on fire (2004, dir. tony scott) i've watched it a 1000 times since it 1st aired on tv & ya it flows; ending is rushed. it's style over substance but tony's use of sentimentality carries. also, indian action filmmakers should acknowledge how much tony has influenced em.

what’s the most recently released movie that can unambiguously be considered a “classic” already

i think most men who claim to be straight don't like women & most women who claim to be straight don't like men. they're just way too brainwashed by media & their family & are forcing themselves to stay on this path because they fear what society will think of them if they don't.
beard is ugly, only the ones with chopped faces grow it to hide their chopped face

seemingly straight men talk about "attractive" men's bodies like they have seen god & they talk about women's bodies in the most disgusting ways imaginable. seemingly straight women always seem to be coping while dating men, settling for something tolerable. baffles my mind.

everyday there's some kinda hot take from straight people about looks & whatnot which just shows how much you hate being straight. tbh i don't even understand why women choose men when the average woman is always more attractive than the average man. don't settle for less.

spider-man: no way home (2021, dir. jon watts) since the initial disappointment has subsided, i think i enjoyed it a lil more. most of the film still looks like dogshit. the dramatic moments where the actors are allowed to shine is when it hits. just a lot of wasted potential.

MAN ON FIRE (2004) Tony Scott utilized an old hand-cranked film camera built in 1910 to make movie magic. No CGI needed. DP Paul Cameron built a "merry-go-round" rig that spun Denzel Washington and the camera 360 degrees to create a hyper-kinetic visual effect.

i think india's name should be changed to final destination.
#PeekOnGround – Does it take an innocent's death for our authorities to follow basic road safety protocol? After a 25-year-old biker named Kamal Dhyani died after falling into an uncovered 15-foot-deep pit in Delhi's Janakpuri, the area has been blocked with barricades & mesh.

the 'burbs (1989, dir. joe dante) absolutely bland-ass plot elevated by the most looney-tunes-esque performances, visuals, & stunts. the keke palmer-led tv show is much meatier & cohesive. meanwhile, this was just "random bullshit go: the movie." enjoyable but only in parts.

nirangal moondru (2024, dir. karthick naren) kinda pulp fiction coded but a lot more light-hearted (until it isn't). lots of interesting stuff done on a small budget. the conclusion it arrives on is alright but the inference that the film makes is ehh idk about that.

the rating system means jackshit. a-rated movies with the most grotesque violence is watched with families. there's no strict implementation. international movies that are a-rated are censored to hell because that'll influence innocent minds of innocent indians. nonsense.
Film in theatres: censored, cut, certified "A". Same film on OTT: "Raw & Undekha" version promoted on every Smart TV homepage. Kids who can navigate YouTube better than adults now have easier access than theatre going "A" audience. What exactly are we regulating here?

earlier, streaming used to mean zero censorship but shows like the boys & hotd are heavily censored. then you have this chuchandar shit that goes uncensored. it should be full censorship or no censorship. there's no selective middle ground for freedom of expression.

everyone should be allowed to make what they wanna make the way they wanna make with no pre-censorship & people should choose how they wanna consume it. but we have a primitive audience & a dumbfuck govt. so here we are arguing how much censorship is good & how much is bad.
