Prescot RC Church was full tonight for an excellent 20th Prescot Festival performance by Liverpool Bach Collective, in J.S. Bach’s Cantata No. 29. ~600 people have attended our 1st 3 nights already, with literally 1000s in the blazing sunshine at Prescot Carnival this afternoon!

Fantastic opening night to the 20th Prescot Festival, with South Liverpool Orchestra in excellent form & 230 people in the Parish Church. Tonight we have the 100-strong Prescot Festival Chorus in Faure’s sublime Requiem, followed by choral classics from Liverpool Cathedral Choir

Wow! Over 100 singers have now registered in advance to be part of the Prescot Festival Chorus 😃. They'll be singing Faure's Requiem and Artistic Director/Festival Founder Robert Howard's Ave Maria on Saturday (22/6) at 7pm in Prescot Parish Church. More SATB singers welcome!

Our soloists are @damianjokeeffe and Laura Hudson. Laura's in London rehearsing with @operahollandpk currently but will be back for Saturday (& Monday @ShakespeareNP for Afternoon Opera!) 🙂

The Prescot Festival Chorus will be conducted by Ian Wells and accompanied by Peter Kwater. @LivCathChoir sing a selection of beautiful classics in the 2nd half under the direction of Stephen Mannings and accompanied by Prof Dr Ian Tracey!
