Also ppl pretending that Elon has a bank account with a trillion dollars sitting in it
I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.

A man pretending to be a woman, suspected of murdering a little boy, publicly assaulted female journalists. Naturally Australian media referred to him as "she".
A cross-dressing Australian man who's suspected of murdering a child behaves erratically and aggressively outside court, where he was found guilty of a separate firearms charge. Australian media calls him a woman and only mentions he's "trans" towards the end of the broadcast.

This is going viral, and predictably, the comments are full of people angry at native people. The anger is misplaced. I'm from the Yukon, I know many Yukon natives. They don't spend their time thinking up or pushing for stupid crap like this. Lunacy like this is driven by the Woke managerial class in our public institutions. Direct your scorn at them, they richly deserve it.
Oh good. Racially segregated parking.

That was intense. Nothing like wrestling with a moral/ethical dilemma. With very few exceptions I am an absolutist against surrogacy. Of primary importance is the safety of the child. Secondary is the well-being of the mother. If altruism is the exception then there must be zero financial recompense. Furthermore, the adopting parents must undergo extremely strict psychological assessments prior to adoption. @preta_6 @ArisLavranos @AcuityMedLaw @AdamZivo Great Podcast! m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0fMbK…

Nothing exemplifies Canada's tall poppy syndrome more than its refusal to be proud of Elon Musk's connection to us. We are so tiring, seriously.

From the man and party that brought us DRIPA. Ironic, don’t you think? Let’s see, what personal rights and freedoms has this NDP placed in jeopardy in B.C? Play along with me. I’ll start. Private property rights
Some extreme activists are trying to bring Alberta separatism to BC. But British Columbians are proud Canadians who expect their to leaders stand up for Canada unequivocally. At every opportunity. The stakes are too high. 🇨🇦

Happy Friday. About to start the weekly movie night with my boys. Had a lovely day, partly spent catching up in the sunshine with a former physician colleague who hates woke as much as I do. It was wonderful to receive the moral support.

Most gender non-conforming young people grow up to be gay or lesbian. So why are we treating them as though something is wrong with them? This is specifically an LGB issue and LGB Alliance has been saying so for years. The research is consistent and has been for decades: the majority of children who present as gender non-conforming – who don’t fit neatly into social expectations of how boys and girls should be – grow up to be same-sex attracted adults. Happy. Well-adjusted. Gay. That matters because the clinical response to these children has shifted dramatically. What was once watchful waiting, letting children develop naturally, has in many settings become active affirmation of a trans identity. The long-term consequences of that shift are not yet fully understood. LGB Alliance does not oppose support for young people who are struggling. We oppose a system that tells a teenage lesbian she might be a boy and that medical intervention is the answer before anyone has asked whether she might simply be gay. There is a word for the historical practice of telling gay and lesbian young people their identity needs to be corrected and that they need clinical intervention. We fought hard to stop it. We will not accept a new version of it. Gay teens aren’t sick. They don’t need drugs or surgery. They need adults who will tell them the truth: being gay is not a problem to be solved. lgballiance.org.uk/gay-teens…

As Canadians, we must never lose sight of the dignity and worth of every human life, especially those who are suffering. The desire to push for MAID to be expanded to include people whose only condition is mental illness raises profound ethical concerns. When someone is in deep psychological distress, our first duty should always be to ensure they are met with care, support, and hope not irreversible decisions. We must strengthen mental health supports and ensure no one feels that death is their only option. Compassion means standing with people in their darkest moments and helping them find a path toward healing.

We stand with Kathleen Lowrey, a University of Alberta professor and mother who, in Feb 2025, entered the women's change room at the Bonnie Doon pool in Edmonton, AB with her 14-year-old daughter and encountered a male wearing fetish gear. 🤮

A judicial review of the Alberta Human Rights Commission’s (AHRC) refusal to hear a complaint about women’s sex-based rights has been quashed. The case centred around an academic who, along with her 14-year-old daughter, encountered a male in fetish gear using a female change room. "There will be more cases," writes Amy Hamm, "because there are thousands of Canadian women who’ve had enough of being forced to share their intimate spaces with males" nationalpost.com/opinion/amy…

A North Vancouver mother is now fighting the NDP government to get life-saving treatment for her nine-year-old son, who suffers from a rare and serious brain condition. This family is doing everything they can to save their child. Yet once again, the NDP is telling them there is nothing they can do. British Columbians pay some of the highest taxes in the country. When families face these kinds of desperate situations, they should not be left fighting the government to access treatment that could save their child’s life. This is another clear example of a government that collects money but fails to deliver when it matters most. We need leadership that actually prioritizes patients. The NDP must do better. gofundme.com/f/help-save-nat…

A proposed gold mine on B.C.'s fast-track list has been in the works for 15 years, $1.4B already spent. The company has signed benefit agreements with two First Nations, and was readying to move forward. But a court just found that B.C. didn't adequately consult a third indigenous group before letting the project move forward, so it's been paused again and there's a risk it won't get that approval back. vancouversun.com/business/ju…

Some positive news out of BC: One of my son’s teachers messaged parents about “rainbow day” to say that 1) it’s optional, only participate if you’re comfortable and want to and 2) she would not be providing any rainbow-related social education. Good, normal teachers exist.
