what i mean is, there are quite a few women under 20 with a BMI of 19–20 or lower. but once you hit 25, it’s much less common, so if your BMI is below 22, others consider you thin, even though that was considered just “normal” when you were younger
I used to be surprised that French ppl were considered to be on the thin side. Was biased bc i was young. now i’m an adult, i can see that the def of a skinny adult is v different. When i was in highschool, no one was surprised by how thin i was, whereas now at work everyone comments how (too) skinny/ delicate i am
