In Crofter's Dawn I was recalling memories of the #outerhebrides where I had a family holiday years ago. The isolated croft (not a thatched one, but with a rusty iron roof) beckons as an amazing place to live and work. But I'm not hardy enough to give it a go!

Reaching Out: These rocky ledges that project into the sea would look simply black in the middle of the day. But in the slanting evening sunlight, they reveal a range of reflected colours and their textures are illuminated. This view is loosely based on Lulworth Cove with Portland in the distance. Original sold - prints can be ordered #JurassicCoast

Radiance: I often go to Druridge Bay on the Northumberland coast with my family. We marvel at the ridgy patterns in the sand that are surprisingly firm under bare feet. Every day new ones are made by the retreating tide with infinite variations. The reflections from pools of water in between the sand-bars took a lot of thought to ensure they mirrored the sky. For Trailblazer, my aim was to capture that mesmerising effect of the low sunlight glancing off the water and making a pathway of light. This dramatic sky is complemented by the rippling colours in the water and the bold shapes of the headlands. Original now in USA collection.

Gentle Tide, Rugged Shore: In this drawing, I explored the dynamic interplay of tide and rocky shore using charcoal, black ink, and pastel. Created outdoors during an inspiring art course in Cockenzie, Scotland. It reflects the movement and mood of the coastline. Original available rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Echoes in the Reeds references Japanese woodblock printing with its contemplative atmosphere achieved through subtle layering of colors. The crisp outlines of the reeds contrast with soft marks in the sky. It invites you to pause and connect with nature. rebecca-vincent.co.uk/single…

Stand in the Light: The isolated stand of trees is a feature of the English landscape and a motif in myths and legends. You can imagine the trees coming to life! I aimed to capture the silhouette of huddled trees against the colours of the fading light. Original now sold. Prints on paper and canvas can be ordered.

Stand Firm: continues my theme of isolated trees on a craggy landscape. The sky has four layers of colour so it really builds up the couds for a brooding atmosphere. The two trees could be a metaphor for a relationship that's stood the test of time! Original now sold

Stand by Me: The trees clinging onto the craggy hillside against a powerful sky is a perennial favourite for me and my customers. By taking it to a larger scale I could really unleash powerful mark-making and intense patterned detail. Original sold.

Rannoch Moor: This oft photographed pair of cottages on the wild Scottish Moor stand out starkly providing a strong focus to this stark landscape. The foreground is pure imagination but incorporates some of the textures and colours of the moors. rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Away from it All: an imagined landscape that includes all the elements people love in my work - patchwork fields, trees, sea and little cottage. No roads, so you'd need to walk there! It recalls unspoilt vistas and carefree vacations. Print available: rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Rift Valley is an etching I made years ago but still has a place in my heart. The title doesn't refer to the African Rift but to our much more modest Whin Sill in Northumberland. I enjoyed suggesting the geology of the two geological plates. Apologies for inaccuracies to the geologists out there! Edition now sold out.

Take the Long View: A patchwork panorama of fields, rolling hills, and a distant viaduct that traverses the landscape. The hedgerows form patterns that dance with the rhythm of the land. I used subtle tonal variations and layers of soft, graded colours. Original available rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Shepherd's Cottage brings together the landscape elements that have characterised my work: the patchwork landscape, rolling hills, hedges, winter tree silhouettes, ploughed fields and a remote farmhouse. Etching - edition now sold out.

Crashing Waves, Dunstanburgh has been one of the most popular prints of my career. This well known #northeast landmark is combined with some powerful mark-making for the waves. The edition sold out a long time ago but you can still buy greetings cards. #NORTHUMBERLAND rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Reach for the Moon: The light from the moon sparkles on the water as the final colours of sunset slip away. This night seascape is an imagined view but reminiscent of the #OuterHebrides I used paper stencils to create the crisp edges of the headlands. rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc…

Whispers of Autumn: This one grew out of leftovers—literally! I'd cut so many collage shapes for other pieces that I started playing with the off-cuts and this soft, rustling composition emerged. Quiet, layered, and a soft autumnal light. Original vailable: rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc… #mixedmedia #autumnart "
