On Oct 14, 2016 It was Hero’s homecoming, a final journey Home, when Tricolour-draped coffin carrying the mortal remains of 2/Lt Thomas reached Home for religious funeral. His remains were exhumed from his grave in Nagaland and brought to Kerala to be laid to rest at the Holy Cross Church. He died fighting Naga rebels on June 12, 1992 after the Naga extremists, NSCN ambushed their vehicle. 13 personnel including 3 officers had died in the action.
