Bosses who get results shouldn't earn a license to be cruel. Berating and belittling aren’t signs of tough love—they’re hallmarks of abusive supervision. Treating people like dirt doesn't motivate them—it undermines them. If you can't model respect, you don't deserve to lead.

How much was a 4* impact case study worth in REF2021? New analysis by @JonCollett5 suggests they could be worth between £480,000 (panels C&D) and £880,000 (A&B) over the REF cycle. Thanks @SimonRKerridge for review feedback and Jon for insightful analysis! fasttrackimpact.com/post/how…

Excellent point!
The Declaration of Helsinki has required registration of ALL studies (inc observational) since 2013 (article 35) - researchers and journals who *say* they are following the DoH seem to have quietly ignored this (or not read it)... wma.net/policies-post/wma-de…

I cannot overstate enough how much I recommend avoiding making New Years resolutions and instead compiling your own bucket list. Frame your life by striving for positive experiences rather than solely through self-regulation.

2 - Build a Sleep Rhythm Sleep & wake up at the same time every day. This allows adenosine (the chemical that makes you feel sleepy) to make you feel awake & sleepy at the right times. How to build a rhythm: 1. Set an alarm 2. Socialise earlier 3. Don't sleep in on weekends

A Brummie icon who will never be forgotten. Thank you, Benjamin, for everything you have done for our city and our people ❤️
Birmingham City University is shocked and extremely saddened to learn of the passing of poet and writer Benjamin Zephaniah. A Birmingham icon who was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the university in 2005, he was a national treasure who will be greatly missed. 1/3
