Sitting on the tarmac, nearing the end of a long day of travel. Apparently we are waiting for “catering” from a one-hour flight from DFW to MSY. Like, when did soda and juice constitute catering? Just wondering.

I just left the @NatlHumanities Center for the last time. A little sad, but eternally grateful for the incredible fellows I was able to commune with these last nine months, a fabulous staff that supported us at every turn, and an ethos that believes the humanities still matter.
